Really?

Say whatever you'd like about our president, but comparing him to Hitler? Come on now, really?

  1. Who did this? It's the most absurd thing I've ever heard, next to comparing Michael Jackson to Jesus Christ.

  2. The media gives creedence to the loonies who do this. For some reason people chose to denigrate all our presidents this way. Although, I once dated someone with that same haircut.

  3. Some Lyndon LaRouche followers had a table set up outside my local grocery store a couple months ago with a poster like this.

I let them have it. I told them that if they really believe that ANYONE in American politics it comparable to Hitler then they were simply to ignorant to be alive.

I then went on to point out that they were doing this within walking distance of 3 synagogs and that my wife lost dozens of ancestors in the Holocaust. Did they really think that Obama was on the verge of committing genocide?

I chewed them out for a good 5 minutes and drew a crowd. They haven't been back.

  6. The relentess race to the bottom in political rhetoric is discouraging.

Frankly, if someone has to resort to this kind of demagoguery in their efforts at political opposition, it means they have nothing else on their side.

It's disheartening that the media takes these tactics as just another "point of view" in their storyline.

I hope this country comes away from this kind of thing, but all I see is it getting worse.
