Is It Just Me
or is anyone else a little bit annoyed with this whole Boston PD vs. Professor Gates vs. President Obama "thing"? I'm thinking that there are a lot more pressing issues (i.e. health care). This is why politics drives me crazy. Hurry up, have your stinkin' beer and get on with it already!

I'm on the ohter side of the fence on this one... I think the covereage has been overly sensationalized and the press has no idea how to report this objectively. But I think the coverage is important- it just needs to be handled differently. I also think it needs to open doors to town hall meetings and such to talk about race relations and such.

ReplyDeleteAmericans love hurling accusations and being aggravated, even if they aren't quite sure which aspect was aggravating, who was right, what the HELL actually happened, or where their toddler is while they are watching sensationalized shit on CNN.

I don't think this is a racial matter at all. The more I learn the more it sounds like a testosterone issue. Testosterone is the most dangerous drug in the world.
