a haiku…
exit my warm bed
teach kids all day home workout
journal TV sleep
Whew! That was tough. I have much too much to say to use the haiku format very often. Free verse is more my style. Wow, my “regular” day is even less exciting in poetry. What’s your favorite part of your regular day.
I love how much you got in those 3 little lines.
ReplyDeleteI don't really know what haiku is, nor do I think I care at my age,
ReplyDeletebut you communicated very well. I think it sounds exciting.
More so than mine.
Yay for haiku, it can be difficult to get everything in just a couple of lines. I think you did a great job.

Yeah, an "ordinary" day is really just kinda... well, ordinary. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
Found you through writer's workshop!
ReplyDeleteSo much said in three little lines - such is life ;)
Love the haiku- I picked the same prompt! Stopping from Mamakats.
ReplyDeleteI think you hit the right high points there. Teach kids, workout, journal, and sleep are all good things to do in a day.
ReplyDeleteFew words make for powerful message.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving some comment love!
Cheers.
congrats on a successful haiku! my favorite part of the day is right before i get out of bed when i can enjoy the last minutes of a snuggle and the kitty comes to say good morning :) directly followed by my least favorite part of the day--having to get out of bed :p
ReplyDeleteMy favorite? I was going to say taking a hot shower, but after reading mariasangel's response, I would have to agree. Snuggling with the kitten before getting up in the morning. She, I mean he!, is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for coming and spreading the comment love on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI think your haiku said it all... well done!
My morning coffee in my jammies is the best part of my day.
ReplyDeletewow great post. I tend to only read the blogs that I find interesting .
ReplyDeleteKeep posting stuff like this i really like it.
I'd have to say the favorite part of my regular day is getting home from work and seeing my husband and dog meet me at the bus stop and then going home and having my cats greet me.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop.
Haiku's are hard!
ReplyDelete(Sorry, forgot to put in my URL on my above comment)
This was really good Pumpkin. You never cease to amaze me : )
ReplyDeleteWarm bed is probably my favorite part of any day.
ReplyDeleteI usually love gardening, I thought it was a fun activity, because with gardening then we will learn to appreciate and care for nature, so we also will appreciate and care for ourselves and our families
