Every Man Needs...

Stevie Wonder with an iPhone in the passenger seat of his car.
I don't watch the Late Late Show, but these "Carpool Karaoke" bits are a kick.  This is the most recent one.  Imagine that phone call!

    1. Yes, hers was funny too - I was up late so I'm not gonna sing...and then she sings. Ha!
While it' such a silly ides - watching people sing in the car? But their banter is good, a fun idea.
I sing in the car all the time so can see where he's coming from.

  2. I don't usually watch clips this long (remnants of when we couldn't do stuff like that with our server), but I splurged with this one and I'm glad I did. So much fun!! I've never considered myself a big Stevie fan, but I loved him here! :)

    1. Oh I know, I'm not a fan of long videos either so try not to post them. This one just made me smile when I watched it (multiple times) and thought I'd share.
Stevie Wonder has A LOT of songs and "we" know most of them which is probably a testament to his success. They're good sing-a-long songs. Back in the 80s my family watched The Cosby Show (which I now hate to admit with all we know about him), but it was a good show for all ages. Anyhow, I remember enjoying the episode when the family got to visit SW in the studio. He had a good sense of humor then too.

  3. Meah, I've seen a few bits since Ferguson left, but where the Scot had a wry cut to his interview style. Probably enhanced by marrying an Irish lass. This guy gets under my skin, big time.

    1. Yah, while I didn't watch Craig Ferguson with any regularity, I definitely prefer his humor to this one. Not that I have a whole lot to compare it to - just these clips. I was also familiar with Ferguson's comedy before the show where this guy is a relative newcomer over here.
Is he worse than Conan? I don't think so. That one gets on my nerves.
I did find it sweet when he teared up during the phone call to his wife. Very endearing. :)
Colbert, Letterman's replacement, started a week or so ago. Meh, I'm not sold on him. Watched him somewhat regularly when he had his little comedy news show after the Daily Show, but the character doesn't fit on this one. It's a little silly for me.
I don't stay up late enough during the week to watch any of them, so it is fun to see the random clip here and there.

    2. You have a phrase in the US that calls it about the boyfriend slash girlfriend one has first after coming out of a long relationship. I think both those comics fit. Ferguson lived in the US 20 years before getting that job, I read. SO would know the funnybone. These guys are totally on edge and the people pick up on it, so people don't relax and feel safe in the comedy.
I don't know where we got CO'B from. He's got a voice like a wasp on Ritalin.
