Merry Thanksgivoween

Merry_Thanksgivoween
It’s hard to believe that we’ve just celebrated Halloween, and now October is over.  I was looking for some Halloween things at the store this past weekend and they already had Christmas decorations and were playing Christmas music.  Really, it didn’t as much put me in the Christmas spirit, but rather ticked me off a little bit.  Can we just worry about one holiday at a time please?  I am however looking forward to the end of Daylight Savings time this weekend.  It has been so dark getting up over the last few weeks.  There’s something to be said for waking up in the daylight rather than the middle of the night.

The end of October also means another Calendar Challenge from the Kathryn Wheel.  I didn’t think I’d done too much this month, but when I went through my journals I had made more pages than I thought.  Which makes me happy.

  1. Ohhhhh, this one is substantially brighter. I like it.
Ever wondered why exactly that chick is joining hands in the middle of her back. I can't think of any physical movement that is either the positive of it of the negative. What muscla groups is it designed to ease.

6 weeks should be the limit. So 10th of Oct. Beyond that all you are doing as a store keeper is annoying people.

    Our hour has changed already.

    1. Thank you.
Ha ha! Triceps and shoulders (I think). Did you try it? It's a good one. :)
6 weeks is a good guideline, or maybe even 4. It's too hard to think of Xmas when were still having 90 degree days. I'm usually more in the spirit after our Thanksgiving.

  2. Love your pages and your lovely journals! Agree with you about Christmas music being played far too early!

    1. Thank you for coming by. I appreciate your kind words.
I like Christmas music, but when they start it too early, by the time Christmas actually gets here I'm sick of it.

  3. I love the end of each month because I love to see your journal pages...I can't even come close to painting and drawing like that!

Daylight savings time makes me crazy...I need my sunshine in the afternoon...I don't like swimming when the sun is going down...but I do like having an extra hour in my weekend :)

    1. Thanks Marey.
I love the time change. I love the extra hour of sleep. I love that the earlier darkness gets me home earlier. For some reason the shorter days make me feel more rested - like dusk is a sign that the day is done and I can stop working. Not being jarred awake by the alarm when it's still pitch black out is also a plus.

    2. I am use to the decorations being available by Halloween, but playing the Christmas music, that is terrible. I love the cartoon and I am going to steal it for my facebook.

  6. Love your calendar pages (and your other work). I laughed, though, because I think I have at least one entry on each month that simply says blah or blegh or ugh or some other gutteral one syllable utterance.

    1. There are many days I don't get to it. I usually use the weekend to catch up on a few.

  9. I feel the opposite.. I rather wake up in the dark than spend so much of my day in the dark.. it becomes a bit depressing when it's dark before 5pm

    1. That opinion seems to be the norm. I guess I appreciate it since mornings are already hard for me, and the dark makes it worse.
