Let’s see who is up on their vintage culture…
All week I’ve been giggling about this box. It has been in my classroom for the last eight years. I pulled it out last week because it’s becoming a storage nuisance.
Any ideas?

A record player?
ReplyDeleteRecord Player? m.
ReplyDeleteIs it a box for files. Or for film/cine-cameras.
ReplyDeleteA record player or tape player. It looks like what ever it is; is remarkedly out of date.
ReplyDeleteJust think what you could sell it for to A&E Pickers ..... it's a 60s video/audio player .... as I recall the last time I saw one was in 6th grade Health Class before seeing the "sex talk video" :-)
ReplyDeleteCamera!
ReplyDeleteOHHHHHH, it's a box for LP's.
ReplyDeleteSome have guessed correctly, some have not.
ReplyDeleteMark is always right, I've learned.
just an FYI http://roseoftralee.ie/v5/
ReplyDeleteGood guesses everyone! I will have the answer soon...when I'm not deliriously tired from the first week back with 2nd graders! :)
ReplyDelete@Banker Chick - yes it is! Ancient I think.
@3rdnlong - I didn't even think about selling it...shoot! :)
@Vince - The Los Angeles representative of the festival was announced at the Big Irish Fair we went to a few months ago. Those pictures make it look like a beautiful festival! Are you going?
Good-god-no. You need to go into training for that place. I'll watch from a save distance on the telly.
ReplyDeleteRECORD PLAYER!!!
ReplyDeleteI say typewriter. Let me know when you put the answer up.
ReplyDeleteI would say film stip projector but because I see the power cord opening it can't be...doesn't seem large enough for a record player...but then there's nothing to judge size by...is it a listening post?
ReplyDeleteWhen I moved I still kept my film projector because I have two very cool films that aren't on DVD or VHS...I did have a .5 unit teaching course on how to run projectors, overheads and film strip projectors...fun!
