March’s Madness

Happy April Fool’s Day!  Isn’t it amazing that March is over already?  I think I post that every month, but the year is already one-fourth of the way over.  Too fast!

Here’s my March calendar for The Kathryn Wheel’s Calendar Challenge.

Work this year has been a disappointing roller coaster ride, and this month felt like the car flew right off the tracks.  I’ve tried hard to keep my feelings about it to myself, which is SO difficult for me.  Usually, I wear my heart on my sleeve, so I’ve felt so stifled.  This month’s journal pages reflect my frustration.

The process was cathartic, but I find them kind of funny to look at.  Flowers and bright colors and doodles are included which is such a juxtaposition to how I was feeling.  Deep down they are more telling about who I am, but this month the journaling part is NEG-A-TIVE. I don’t like that, but it sure made me feel better.

The guest art journal continues to be a hit at gatherings.  I forgot to post the ones from February, so here are the pages from both months.

I enjoy reading them the next day and seeing how they get progressively sillier as the nights go on…depending on the guest artist’s alcohol consumption.

  1. It is 02 April down here, so finally I get to use this:

    "April Fool's has come and past and you're the biggest fool at last!"

    No to go back and actually read the rest of your post.

  2. Sorry to hear people are getting to you. I know it's hard to strike that happy medium where you're not a doormat nor too quick on the draw either. But I'm glad you're letting it out for sometimes you need to hear it or see it written down for lots of little feeling or impressions to amalgamate into something real OR you say nope that's not correct. I'm imagining things.
    All-in-all, we tend to have pretty good radar and normally we're spot on.

    Since google went on it's merry way at the start of the month, I now cannot embiggen the photos beyond postcard size.

    Anywoos, chin up Missy.

  6. @Hula - Ha! I've not heard that one before. I spent the day with some old friends and their kids were in and out during our visit. They spent the day trying to play April Fool's Day jokes on us.

    @AJ - Thank you.

  7. Thanks Vince - Your comments are spot on. Feeling more like a doormat these days, when what I really want to do is tell the f@#ker off. :)
    What do you mean about google? Are the pictures not linking up to the original? They were taken on my iwhatzit so maybe the resolution keeps it smaller?

  10. No, they are fine as far as being there is concerned and they are sharp enough. What they aren't doing is opening full screen size.
